Nina and I had planned to have dim sum here today after reading a Chronicle article but when I arrived, fortunately a bit early, I found them closed. Checking their website I found that they closed temporarily April 1st for a interior remodel. There is no reopening date announced, which makes sense because remodeling almost always takes longer than expected.

One of the few places doing carts. You can really load up your table fast here. The dim sum here is very good. Service here is solid - team and ice water and no delay in getting our bill processed.

"I'm still only in Saigon. Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle." - Apocalypse Now. Ok, Saigon, here we go! It's a Chinese dim sum place with a Vietnamese name. Why? I'm not sure. It's next to a storage place. It's across from a dog hotel and a dispensary. It's not far from Costco. It's near Daimo and the shopping center with Ranch 99 inside. Anyways. It's big! It's like a huge cafeteria inside, except nicer. Tons of seafood in big fish tanks at one end. Imagine a lot of tanks full of seafood... now double it. Frogs, lobsters, all kinds of stuff. Dim sum! They got it. All kinds. They have a normal menu also with all kinds of Chinese dishes on it. When I went it was packed with Chinese people. Crowded! Very happening. Dim sum ends at 2:30 maybe? That's what my friend told me. The outside could use a remodel. Needs some paint, etc. But who cares, you go for the food. They have parking in the lot, if it full there is lots of parking nearby. After you eat here you can go to Ranch 99 and go shopping. This place? I like it. The sesame balls were big and tasty. The har gow was good. The sweet rice was really good, served in a leaf wrapper. What else did we get? Some sort of dim sum, it was over a week ago when I went. Would go again. Would recommend. Thumbs up!

Been coming her for dimsum for years. Came on a Sunday with friends. It used to be a long wait for dimsum and no parking spots on the weekends but this past Sunday was not so busy. Plenty of parking spots left and got a table for 7 right away. Not many place still have ladies pushing carts full of dimsum options but this place does. It comes out piping hot so you know it is fresh out of the kitchen. Everything we ordered was very good. I wished they have more side dishes option like other places do but overall enjoyed the food.

They are pretty good to get us seated right away. The ladies with a cart came over as soon as we sat down. Within 2 minutes, we were able to pour our tea cups and ready to eat. I'm surprised that their food selection are surprisingly yummy. Overall a great experience dining here today.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away for a family of four. They have dim sum available both in carts and via ordering. We got a couple of the popular items via the cart: siu mai, shrimp dumpling, chicken feet, beef balls. Everything was good though a bit smaller than other dim sum spots and a little more expensive. We got a chicken chow fun, which was huge in portion size but could have used more seasoning. I did get an undercooked pea sprout and shrimp dumpling which was very unfortunate... they re-steamed it for us but it became overcooked at that point. The highlights were probably the bitter melon and chicken rice roll (ingredients stuffed to brim in rice roll) and pan fried stuffed eggplant (very well fried). I would recommend trying if you're looking for good dim sum that doesn't break to bank and quick service.

Another 3.5 star rule hit! Came here for dinner and the food was delicious! I came here just for their crispy pork trotters (a must get). It's crispy and perfectly seasoned. I saw a lot of people ordering seafood dishes like crab and lobsters. It's probably what they are known for but we didn't get any. My family can speak Cantonese so we didn't have any problems communicating with the staff. The people were nice and patiently gave suggestions (maybe because it wasn't busy). The ambiance was just like any traditional Chinese/Cantonese restaurants. There are round tables and green fish tanks on display with giant seafood in it. Very nostalgic

This dim sum place was recently in the SF Chronicle's 50 best dim sum restaurants in the East Bay! Although I wasn't here for dim sum today, I definitely want to come back for it! The place is so busy with people waiting outside so that tells you how delicious their dim sum must be. I picked up the good old standbys of combination chow mein and beef chow fun to take home. I was really impressed with the combination chow mein, it was loaded with seafood! Big succulent pieces of scallops, shrimp, squid, cha siu and chicken were generous throughout the chow mein. They use a very high quality of noodles, very soft, flavorful and thin like the Hong Kong style noodles. In addition, there were a lot of crunchy vegetables mixed in against the fine texture of the soft thin noodles. It was delightful and one of the best arrangements of chow mein I have ever had! Ditto with the chow fun. The rice noodles were very high-quality, soft and not doughy or hard. The noodles even stayed soft overnight in the refrigerator, I was really impressed! They use a very nice quality of meat, thinly sliced and very tender. There was a really nice contrast of textures with the beef, soft rice noodles against the crunch of fresh bean sprouts and green onions. They really do a nice job on their food. Proportions were large and I'm impressed that nothing was too salty at all, just right. I'm excited about coming back to try the dim sum!
